About Our Recycled Pallets

What makes recycled pallets eco-friendly?

Recycled pallets give wood a second life instead of ending up in landfills. Each recycled pallet saves approximately 6-8 board feet of lumber, reduces carbon emissions by 80% compared to new pallet production, and keeps valuable wood resources in productive use. By choosing recycled pallets, you're directly contributing to a more sustainable supply chain.

Are recycled pallets as strong as new pallets?

Yes! Our recycled pallets are thoroughly inspected and repaired to meet or exceed original load capacity specifications. Grade A recycled pallets are structurally identical to new pallets. The wood in recycled pallets is often denser and more stable than freshly milled lumber because it's already been dried and seasoned through use.

What pallet sizes do you carry?

We stock the most common sizes including 48x40" (GMA standard), 42x42" (Telecom), 48x48" (Drum), 48x45" (Automotive), and 48x42" (Chemical). We also build custom sizes to your exact specifications. All sizes are available in recycled options.

What is the difference between Grade A, B, and C pallets?

Grade A pallets are in like-new condition with no repairs and minimal cosmetic wear - perfect for retail and food applications. Grade B pallets may show minor wear or small repairs but are fully structurally sound - ideal for manufacturing and logistics. Grade C pallets have visible wear or multiple repairs but remain fully functional - best for construction, storage, and cost-sensitive applications. All grades are 100% recycled.

How long do recycled pallets last?

With proper use, recycled pallets can last 3-10 years depending on grade and application. Grade A pallets in controlled environments can last as long as new pallets. Even when they eventually wear out, we take them back for recycling - nothing goes to waste in our circular system.

Selling & Recycling Pallets

Do you buy used pallets?

Yes! We purchase used pallets in all conditions. We pay competitive prices based on pallet grade, size, and quantity: Grade A condition ($2-4), Grade B condition ($1-2), Grade C condition ($0.25-1). We also accept damaged/broken pallets for free recycling. Volume bonuses available for 500+ pallets.

Nothing goes to waste! Pallets that can't be repaired are processed through our recycling program. Approximately 65% of lumber is recovered for pallet repair, 25% becomes mulch, wood chips, or animal bedding, and 10% is used for biomass energy. Zero pallets go to landfill.

Heat Treatment & Compliance

What is heat treatment (HT) and when is it required?

Heat treatment is a process required by ISPM 15 regulations for wood pallets used in international shipping. The core temperature of the wood must reach 56°C (132.8°F) for 30 continuous minutes to eliminate pests. This protects global ecosystems from invasive species. Heat treatment is required for any wood packaging exported from or imported to most countries.

Can you provide ISPM 15 certified pallets?

Yes! We are an ISPM 15 certified facility. All our heat-treated pallets receive the official IPPC stamp that customs authorities worldwide recognize. We provide full documentation for your export shipments. Heat treatment is 100% chemical-free and environmentally safe.

How much does heat treatment cost?

Heat treatment adds $2-3 per pallet depending on size and quantity. Volume discounts apply for large orders. Heat treatment can be done on any pallet - new, recycled, or your own pallets that need certification.

Do you offer heat treatment for pallets I already own?

Yes! We provide heat treatment services for customer-owned pallets. Bring them to our facility or schedule pickup, and we'll heat treat and return them with proper IPPC stamps. Turnaround is typically 2-3 business days.

Pallet Repair Services

Do you offer pallet repair services?

Yes! We offer professional repair services that can save you 40-60% compared to buying new. We repair stringers, deck boards, blocks, and lead boards to restore full functionality. Repairing pallets is the most eco-friendly option - it extends pallet life and reduces demand for new lumber.

How much does pallet repair cost?

Repair costs vary based on damage level: Minor repair (1-2 boards) is $2-3, Standard repair (3-4 boards) is $3-5, and Major repair (stringers/multiple boards) is $5-8. This is typically 40-60% less than buying new. We'll assess your pallets and provide a quote before any work.

What is the turnaround time for repairs?

Standard repair turnaround is 3-5 business days depending on quantity. Rush service is available for an additional fee. We can also set up ongoing repair programs for businesses that generate a regular volume of damaged pallets.

When should I repair vs. replace a pallet?

Repair is usually the best choice when: 1) Damage is limited to a few boards, 2) Stringers are intact, 3) You want maximum cost savings, 4) You prioritize sustainability. Replace when: 1) Multiple stringers are broken, 2) Damage exceeds 50% of components, 3) You need immediate availability. Our team can assess and recommend the best option.

📐

Custom Pallets

Can you build custom-sized pallets?

Yes! We build pallets to your exact specifications in any size or configuration. Custom options include: any dimensions (up to 8'x8' or larger), 2-way or 4-way entry, stringer or block construction, various wood types, and special features like notches or cutouts. We can use recycled or sustainably sourced new lumber.

What is the lead time for custom pallets?

Standard lead time for custom pallets is 3-7 business days depending on complexity and quantity. Rush orders can often be accommodated. For ongoing programs with consistent specifications, we can stock your custom pallets for faster fulfillment.

Can custom pallets be made from recycled lumber?

Absolutely! We encourage using recycled lumber for custom pallets when possible. This provides the same quality at lower cost while maximizing environmental benefits. We'll recommend the best material option based on your load requirements and application.

🌍

Environmental Impact

How does using recycled pallets help the environment?

Every recycled pallet you use: 1) Saves 6-8 board feet of lumber (trees stay standing), 2) Reduces carbon emissions by 80% vs. new production, 3) Keeps wood out of landfills, 4) Supports the circular economy, 5) Reduces demand for logging and deforestation. By choosing recycled pallets, your business directly contributes to sustainability.

What is your zero-landfill goal?

We're committed to ensuring no pallet wood goes to waste. Currently, 95% of all pallets we handle are recycled or reused. The remaining 5% is converted to mulch, animal bedding, or biomass energy. Our goal is 100% diversion from landfills by 2025.

Can you provide sustainability documentation?

Yes! We can provide documentation of the environmental impact of your recycled pallet purchases, including estimated trees saved, carbon emissions avoided, and waste diverted from landfills. This is valuable for corporate sustainability reporting and ESG compliance.

How does the pallet recycling process work?

Our circular process: 1) Collection - We buy and pick up used pallets, 2) Sorting - Pallets are assessed for repair potential, 3) Processing - Repairable pallets are restored, damaged ones are dismantled for lumber recovery, 4) Distribution - Quality pallets return to businesses, 5) Repeat - The cycle continues indefinitely. This keeps wood productive instead of wasted.
